An Ambassador for Youth Journalism International
Stacey Wilkins has worked for some of the world’s leading news organizations including CNN and Fox News Channel. Her career includes overseas postings in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. Highlights include covering the United Nations, the Hong Kong handover to China in 1997 and interviews with prima donna celebrities and supermodels when she was on the entertainment beat for the CNN affiliate in Hong Kong. Stateside Wilkins has worked in several cities including Anchorage, Atlanta, Chicago and New York.
Wilkins is currently an English and journalism teacher at the International School of Kenya in Nairobi, Kenya. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University where she teaches in the summer journalism program. She completed her teacher education certification at Yale University in 2005. Wilkins is a native of Itasca, Illinois.
