YJI reporter Nancy Hsu in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia is continuing to scramble, rounding up photos from young people in different parts of the city to share with readers here. She’s also trying, in a tough situation, to write about the impact of the flooding on the people in her city. Power outages, evacuations and the general order for people to stay home is making it a daunting task, but Nancy will come through, so keep checking back for more photos and pieces of a heartbreaking story from Down Under.
The following six photos were taken by Flavius Mihaiu in the city’s central business district at 6:30 p.m. January 12.
