Outside a public forum held by U.S. Congressman John Larson at the West Hartford Town Hall on Monday afternoon, protesters, many of Syrian descent, waved Syrian flags, carried signs and chanted against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Larson, an East Hartford Democrat who represents the First Congressional District in Connecticut, held the public forum to hear from constituents about the proposed military strike on Syria.  President Barack Obama has said that because the Syrian government used chemical weapons against its own people, killing more than 1,000, including hundreds of children, that the U.S. must respond with limited military action against Syria.
