Albany, Oregon, U.S.A. – The Amazing Digital Circus is an indie animated TV show for older audiences – late teens to adult age – made by a creator by the name of Gooseworx.
Episode 9 was the best end possible to a fantastic series.

It focused on tying up what their reality truly was, Jax’s backstory and collective trauma leading to a very sad death.
Jax was a well written character. As a person who had carried out countless harmful actions against other members, this allowed them to find solace after such suffering and trauma in the Circus.
This episode was full of emotion, friendship, self-discovery and coming to terms with identity.
The animation has improved immensely since the pilot aired. You can see the elevated animation by looking at the characters in the first episodes compared to the later ones.
The definition in their bodies and the objects gives depth. The sound quality in comparison is also better, because the quality absolutely rose along with the music balancing in production.
The Amazing Digital Circus is filled with Easter eggs. Animators incorporated a “Looney Tunes”-inspired roadrunner sequence in showing Jax’s mental mindscape and heavily masking their emotions.
Jax and the other main character, Pomni, received the majority of screen time because they are main characters.
The scenes that surrounded them were well made and did a great job depicting someone going through incredible emotional turmoil due to never coming to terms with their life.
It showed that everyone has someone to fight for them, to care about them and love them when they need it.
It’s a truly beautiful and emotional episode that I would recommend as worth the watch.
