BAHRAIN – After Tuesday’s horrible explosion rocked Beirut, killing more than 100 people and leaving thousands hurt and homeless, Lebanon needs help.
If you want to support Lebanon from abroad, the best way is to contribute financially. Turn to reliable organizations providing aid there, such as the Lebanese Red Cross.
You can also support Lebanon by amplifying the voices of the Lebanese people both in the country and internationally, sharing news stories about Lebanon on your social media platforms, staying informed and up to date on current events in Beirut and Lebanon.
It’s heartbreaking to watch the destruction and devastation from a distance. I can’t imagine how the people there must feel. I send my love, thoughts and the hope that you find strength.
I have many Lebanese friends who are far from their beloved country. Far from their family and friends in Lebanon, they are even more worried about their condition.
They cannot stop their tears of love, anxiety, sadness, despair and many other emotions that their hearts cannot handle anymore.
Most of them are crying and feeling hopeless, saying that Lebanon is at its end. Their bodies are in Bahrain but their souls are in Lebanon.
Lebanon has faced crisis before and has overcome hardships and obstacles. I believe it will rise again, triumphant, offering a better future.
Rest in peace to all those who have lost their lives in the tragedy.
I stand with Lebanon, mourn with its people and pray for them.
