Dubai, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Get ready for a trip to one of the most famous, beautiful and luxurious cities in the Middle East and the world – Dubai.

The city is also one of the most visited places on the planet. After going there, I wanted to share what it was like and my recommendations in case you get a chance to see it for yourself.

The Dubai Mall and the skyscraper Burj Khalifa are two great places to start.

The Burj Khalifa. (Ahmed Elkhamisy/YJI)

The Khalifa tower is the tallest building on the planet. It is 828 meters tall and there are 163 floors.

You can take some wonderful photos there or book a ticket to visit the top of the tower and it will cost you 125 Emirati Dirham, or about 31 euros or $34 U.S.

After that you should visit the Dubai Mall and shop. Trust me no one can resist the shopping experience there, with the most luxurious brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior and Rolex.

And don’t forget to visit the aquarium inside the mall – yup, there is an aquarium inside the Dubai Mall – and be sure to watch the dancing fountain show with the visual display on the tower. You can find that in the outdoor section of the mall.

Inside the Museum of the Future. (Ahmed Elkhamisy/YJI)

I’d also recommend the Museum of the Future, built to be the most technological museum in the world.

In the museum you can see the robot dog and the flying dolphin and a lot more things but please make sure to get the tickets before your visit because it’s always overbooked. The ticket will cost you 147 Emirati Dirham, or about 37 euros.

Don’t miss the Global Village, one of the most visited places in Dubai.

In the village you can see pavilions from many countries around the world including Egypt, India, Pakistan and Iran.

In each country’s pavilion you will find some interesting things to buy from that nation and some food trucks that serve its traditional food. Those tickets will  of this country and the ticket will cost you 27 Emirati Dirham, or about 7 euros.
